Common Questions

Got questions? Here are the ones we get most often.

We handle the full process from site visit to handover. Every job is quoted personally — no online calculators, no guesses.

Where do you operate?

We work across KwaZulu-Natal. Most of our projects are in and around Durban, but we take on work throughout the province. Contact us to confirm we cover your area.

How do I get a quote?

WhatsApp us with your rough idea, location, and any photos or measurements you have. We'll follow up to arrange a site visit and provide a written quote. No charge for the quote.

How long does a project take?

It depends on size and complexity. A standard residential deck typically takes three to seven working days once materials are on site. We'll give you a realistic timeline with your quote.

What materials do you use, and how do I choose?

We work with pine, Balau, Masranduba, and composite decking. Each has different costs, looks, and maintenance requirements. We'll walk you through the options and recommend what suits your situation. There's no single right answer — it depends on your budget, your aesthetic, and how much maintenance you want to do.

Is composite desking worth the extra cost?

Composite typically costs more upfront than pine, but competes well with quality hardwoods when you factor in lower maintenance costs over time. No regular oiling, no warping, and backed by up to a 25-year manufacturer guarantee. We'll put the comparison in front of you so you can make an informed call.

What warranty do you offer?

We provide a 2-year warranty on all workmanship. Composite decking products carry manufacturer warranties of 10, 15, or 25 years depending on the range selected.

Do I need to bring plans or drawings?

No. Most clients come with a rough idea and we work through the design with them. If you have existing plans or drawings, we're happy to work from those too.

Can I refurbish an existing deck rather than replace it?

Yes. We assess what's structurally sound and what needs replacing. In many cases a good refurbish — new boards, a sand-back, and a re-oil — is all a deck needs to look and perform well again. We'll give you an honest assessment on site.

How do I pay?

We'll confirm payment terms with your quote. Typically this involves a deposit before work starts and the balance on completion. We accept EFT.
